About me…

My name is Corinna Navarro and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #112576). My journey to mental health stems from wanting to provide a space that I needed as a child, teenager and young adult. As someone who has struggled with depression and anxiety at specific times in my life, I am willing to walk alongside you in your own journey so you are not alone.

I started my own therapy practice based off my favorite insect: a monarch butterfly. I am inspired by these creatures because considering their size, they posses a strength and resilience, through multiple transformations and generations to make a journey necessary for their survival. I wholeheartedly believe that every client that walks through my door (or zoom meeting room) possess the resilience and strength to transform and continue their healing journey. I am hopeful that I can support you in where you are at in that journey. I recognize that choosing to begin therapy either for the first time or after a previous experience can be a major decision for people and I am grateful you have landed here.

Most of my experience has come from working with children and families in community mental health programs for the past 5 years. I worked with parents and caregivers in supporting children with diagnoses of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Developmental Disorders, Anxiety and Depressive Disorders, and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I was previously trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Attachment-Based Therapy.

I primarily work with older teens and young adults and I specialize in depression, anxiety, and trauma. I have found that I am good fit for clients that are ready and willing to participate in their therapy services. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I utilize all of the aforementioned therapies based on your needs.

I am an advocate for feeling like you and your therapist are a good fit so please reach out to me for a consultation phone call and we can chat about how I can best support you! Even if we do not move forward with working together, I take the time to help you with finding what you are looking for: including referrals to other therapists or other resources.
